“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company… a church… a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past… we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you… we are in charge of our attitudes.”—Charles Swindoll
Don’t think that you’re fluency in Tagalog allows you to have a free for all pass to talk shit about us when we’re around. Bitch, whether you speak in English or Tagalog, I’ll still understand what you’re saying.
Lol I thought I was so cool and indie back in grade 6-8 ‘cause I listened to so many ~indie bands and Fueled by Ramen. The Academy Is… was my favorite band, and I loved their Almost Here and Santi albums. Then they released some Avril Lavigne regressed shit and I fell off the bandwagon.
What I learned while being 17 is to not worry so much about little trivial things, enjoy all aspects life and find balance. I think I spread myself too thin during the past year and look what I got myself into.

I am 5’7” which is apparently tall for an Asian girl.
So today, my youngest sister (12 y/o) looked taller for some reason. She’s like 5’3” and she looked an inch or two taller. She did get asked to play for volleyball provincials because of her height (she’s probably good too but idk I’ve accidentally kicked a dodge ball at her face when she was 4). NGL, I got kinda annoyed because I enjoy being the tall one. I remember when I went to school in the Philippines we lined up in ascending height, and I was always the last person. I’ve probably seen like 3 tall Asian girls as tall or taller than me. And I didn’t like it. Damnit how am I going to live my life knowing someone I actually know/related being a taller Asian girl? I can stand some stranger, but my sister? Gah, I hope she stops at 5’6”. She can still play provincials with that height, and she can climb like a monkey so I’m sure she can jump like one, too.
